Gender Justice
Through our partnerships with Oxfam Women’s Rights Fund and OnSide Women Win, we work to dismantle the barriers that keep women and girls, especially those with disabilities, from living safe, healthy, and self-determined lives. Gender justice sits at the heart of everything we do: it is the thread connecting health, safety, economic independence, and dignity.
Rooted in our community work in Kenya and beyond, we tackle gender injustice from multiple angles, combining inclusive education, prevention, protection, economic empowerment, and even sport, to build a movement where women and girls with disabilities are not just protected, but empowered to lead.
Elevate Her is a proud member of the Kibera Gender Advocacy Network (KGAN), where our Executive Director serves as Vice Chairperson and Elevate Her represents the voice of persons with disabilities within the network.
Our focus areas:
SRHR Education and Access: Sexual and reproductive and health rights programming that ensures women and girls, including those with disabilities, have accurate information and real access to services.
